Bertha DocHouse (London) presents
Thank You for the Rain
From 17 November | Bertha DocHouse (based at Curzon, Bloomsbury)| Tix £9 (£7 conc.)

“Thank You for the Rain is an inspiring portrait of an individual who knows that if one loves this planet, one must do all one can to save it”
From Friday, 17th November, Bertha DocHouse (dochouse.org – who recently brought us the debut feature from Swedish director Theresa Traoré Dahlberg, Ouaga Girls), will be screening Thank You for the Rain, from co-directors Julia Dahr & Kisilu Musaya.
Over five years Kisilu, a Kenyan farmer, documented his family, his village and the effects of climate change on both. He filmed floods, droughts and storms, and the way they force men to leave their families behind in search for jobs. During these years, Kisilu met filmmaker Julia Dahr and took his work as an activist from his local community to the global stage, calling for action at COP21 in Paris. Using his own experience, Kisilu is a tireless and inspiring optimist fighting for a greener world and a brighter future.
Further information about the film, and a trailer, can be found here:

Joining for the screening on Friday November 17th will be producer, Hugh Hartford, and editor, Adam Thomas, for an introduction to the film.
