Afrika Museum, Netherlands, invites you to the biggest Pan-African photography exhibition in Europe.
For the first time in the history of the biennial the Afrotopia exhibition can be seen outside of Bamako. The exhibition was previously shown at the 11th edition of the African Photography Biennial in Bamako. The Afrika Museum feels honored to be able to show this leading exhibition to the public.
Three hundred submissions have selected works by forty contemporary African photographers and artists who are inspired by the Afrotopia theme and the potential strength with which Africa can contribute to our shared future. Their work shows new insights about the past, shines light on the present and offers new perspectives for the future.

The African photo biennale in Berg en Dal
The Afrika Museum aims to present current social themes and introduce visitors to cultural diversity worldwide. The innovative perspectives of contemporary artists are extremely important in this respect. We therefore proudly present our cooperation with the Rencontres de Bamako photobiennale, which is organized by the Musée national du Mali and the Institut français.
