Call for Applications: Rari Poetry Workshop (Deadline: 30 October)

Rari, a new Pan-African community for emerging African poets, is offering an exciting opportunity this year.

The organisers are currently accepting applications for their first poetry workshop. This free workshop is an intensive, craft-enhancing experience aimed at stimulating the creativity and productivity of participating poets. Over the course of six weeks, poets will complete weekly writing assignments and receive constructive and dynamic feedback from other participants in a peer-learning model. Participating poets will also engage with existing African poetry as they read and discuss works by both established and emerging writers. Each writer will leave with a portfolio of finished works and the Rari team will offer individualized tips on publication and journal submissions.

The deadline to apply is October 30, 2019. The application form and other information is available on the website: rari.ca/workshop.
