Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) launches the call for its sixth edition due 2017
from the bureau of the Egyptian Culture Ministry

The administration of Luxor African Film Festival (LAFF) has officially launched the call of receiving films for its sixth edition, taking place March 16-22, 2017 from the bureau of the Egyptian Culture Ministry, the main sponsor of the festival. From August 15, 2016 until December 15, 2016, LAFF should receive films from African countries by African filmmakers except for al-Husseiny Abou-Deif Freedom & Human Rights Competition; films are welcomed from all over the world.
Sayed Fouad, LAFF president, has revealed that Morocco is the country guest of honor at the sixth edition. Azza al-Husseiny, LAFF executive director added that the sixth edition will give tribute to Mauritanian director Abderrahmane Sissako, Egyptian director Youssry Nasrallah and Egyptian star Nelly Karim.
LAFF is organized by Independent Shabab Foundation with the support of the Egyptian ministries of Culture, Foreign Affairs, Tourism and Youth; The National Bank of Egypt; The Luxor Governorate and the Egyptian Film Syndicate.

L’administration du Festival de Louxor du Film Africain (LAFF) a officiellement lancé l’appel de recevoir des films pour sa sixième édition, qui aura lieu 16 au 22 mars 2017 et ceci du bureau du Ministère de la Culture Égyptien, le sponsor principal du festival. Du 15 Août, 2016 jusqu’au 15 Décembre, 2016, LAFF devrait recevoir des films des pays africains par des cinéastes africains, sauf pour la compétition des films de la liberté et droits humains “al-Husseiny Abou-Deif” les films peut être reçus du monde entier.
Sayed Fouad, le président du LAFF, a révélé que le Maroc est le pays invité d’honneur de la sixième édition. Azza al-Husseiny, directrice exécutive de LAFF, a ajouté que la sixième édition donnera hommage au réalisateur mauritanien Abderrahmane Sissako, au réalisateur égyptien Youssry Nasrallah et la star égyptienne Nelly Karim.
LAFF est organisé par la Independent Shabab Foundation avec le soutien des ministères égyptiens de la Culture, des Affaires étrangères, du Tourisme et de la Jeunesse; La Banque Nationale d’Egypte; Le Gouvernorat de Louxor et le Syndicat des Cinéastes Egyptien.

مهرجان الأقصر للسينما الإفريقية يطلق استمارات الدورة السادسة

– أطلقت إدارة مهرجان الأقصر للسينما الإفريقية استمارات الإشتراك في مسابقات الدورة السادسة والتي تقام في الفترة من 10 إلى 22 مارس 2017 ، وذلك من مكتب السيد وزير الثقافة لاعتبار الوزارة الراعي الرسمي للمهرجان ، وتستقبل إدارة المهرجان الأفلام من 15 أغسطس 2016 وحتى 15 ديسمبر 2016 ، وتشترط أن تكون الأفلام من انتاج عام 2016 ولمخرجين أفارقة فيما عدا مسابقة الحسيني أبو ضيف لأفلام الحريات التي تقبل الأفلام من جميع دول العالم .
– وكان سيد فؤاد رئيس المهرجان قد صرح بأن المغرب هي الدولة ضيف شرف الدورة السادسة.
وصرحت المخرجة عزه الحسيني مدير المهرجان بأن الدورة السادسة ستكرم المخرج الموريتاني عبد الرحمن سيساكو ومن مصر النجمة نيللي كريم والمخرج يسري نصر الله .
– مهرجان الأقصر للسينما الإفريقية تقيمه مؤسسة شباب الفنانين المستقلين بدعم من وزارات الثقافة، والخارجية، والسياحة، والشباب، والبنك الأهلي المصري وبالتعاون مع محافظة الأقصر، ونقابة المهن السينمائية.
