Radio 4’s Bookclub programme is looking for readers to meet the travel writer Paul Theroux and talk to him about his book Dark Star Safari, his account of travelling from Cairo to Cape Town [reviewed by John Ryle in The Guardian 2002].
We’re especially looking for readers from an Afro-Caribbean background, and who may have travelled in Africa themselves.
You’ll need to read the book ahead of the recording and be willing to ask a question too. It’s at 5.40pm at BBC Broadcasting House London W1A 1AA on Thursday 6 June. Tickets are free but by invitation only from the producer Dymphna Flynn. Dymphna.flynn@bbc.co.uk
